Dac 1 Pre - modification
I know that any modification made to Dac 1 unit will void 1-2 year product warranty.
However, still there are so many pictures of Dac 1 pre/hdr unit modified with some micro-electronic items
I saw a "Buy-bee" something-brand thing replacing Dac 1 original part.

Sorry, i am not an engineer....But i assume people replace original part with something more exotic and expensive..(claiming to be military grade, rocket grade or whatever)..and doing such modification costs a lot of money. nearly double the retail cost of DAC1 pre...

1-) Will Dac 1 really sound that much better? As i am quite conservative, if it happens to be so.
I would wait for Benchmark to offer an official upgrade. It would be cool and be warranty-protected 

2-) What are associated equipment Benchmark used to experiment on its product, If you don't mind, I am curious to know?
It's like Egglesstonwork uses Krell, Wadia uses Pass Lab amp,...
