24/196 from new mac mini

I am working on integrating my dac USB with my new mini. Via toslink the mini is supposed to output 24/196. Will the dac accept and work with the connection? Will the bit rate show up in audio midi for me select? I will be using pure vinyl music player. Thanks, Chuck

From apple support page, current Mac support 24/192 thro optical out. But I can't find any above 96 in the MIDI setting in both my iMac and MBP. I guess for 2 channel the limit is 96, while 192 may be used in multichannel.

I am very sorry for the late response.  I wasn't aware of your post because the notification system for this forum seems to be disfunctional.  :(

As the other poster mentioned, I have yet to see 192 as an option in the Audio MIDI Setup. 

However, if the Mac's eventually begin doing 192 via optical toslink, the DAC1 will be capable of accepting and converting it.
