Mac OS X Lion issue with DAC1 USB in USB audio mode

Mac OS X Lion issue with DAC1 USB in USB audio mode

 Elias,

I recently updated to Mac OS X Lion in the past week, and I found the OS no longer recongizes the DAC1 as a USB device. It seems like a botched driver issue with the new OS, and it is likely to get hammered out in a week or so.

Here's the details of the DAC1 when attached via USB:

Unknown:

  Product ID: 0xfffe

  Vendor ID: 0xffff

  Version: 1.00

  Speed: Up to 12 Mb/sec

  Manufacturer: Unknown

  Location ID: 0x04100000 / 4

  Current Available (mA): 500

Current Required (mA): Unknown (Device has not been configured)

If you know anything about the state of the driver, please let us know. I'm currently using optical out, which is fine for now.

 Edited to add:

Here is the USB probe info as well:

Weird!!

Thanks for the heads up.  We're looking into this.

Best,

Works for me

I have a fresh install of Lion on MBP15-Corei5, and it shows up correctly for me.

We have tested the DAC1

We have tested the DAC1 USB with OS X Lion, and it seems to work fine.

Lowmagnet, have you been able to resolve this issue on your computer?

Best,

Elias

Can't get USB connection to work on Mac pro with lion os

Try as I might, can't get the Mac to see the dac1Hdr. Please help.

No Known Issues with Lion OS

There are no known issues with the Lion OS. Please try the DAC1 HDR with a different computer. If the problem occurs with other computers, then something is wrong with your DAC1 HDR. But, if the HDR works properly with other computers, then something is wrong with your computer. It could be a hardware problem in the USB system, or it could be a software problem.

Vendor ID and Product ID for DAC1 Converter USB Interface

The Benchmark DAC1 Vendor ID should read 04D (hex).
The Benchmark DAC1 Product ID should read FEEA (hex).
