I will preface this by saying that I know little about DACs, so forgive a perhaps stupid question.  I want to improve upon my listening experinece and am wondering if I can use a Benchmark DAC 1 USB with an iPod?  Thanks.

iPod with a Benchmark DAC

Hi Charles,

Good question.  Yes, you can use an iPod with a Benchmark DAC, but you will need a dock such as the Wadia iTransport which takes the digital output from the iPod rather than the analog out, which is the case with most docks. Once we have the digital output then the Benchmark can do its 'magic' and convert the digital signal to analog.
