 i've read that Asynchronous transfer is a better way of extracting music is this true if so why not use it in your products also what benchmarks stance one use of firewire for dacs

Async USB may be better for

Async USB may be better for DAC's who have trouble with jitter, but it is certainly not better then Sync USB for the DAC1.  The Sync USB transfer is the best overall solution for the DAC1...it is bit-transparent, and the DAC1's jitter isolation makes it work as well as any of the other digital inputs.

Firewire is fine, but it would carry a significant cost increase.  Whenever we have an application that requires the bandwidth that Firewire offers, we will then consider it.
