How to connect an ipod to a benchmark dac1 pre
You can gain a digital source for the DAC1 from the following products:
There are a couple of portable audio based solutions that access the iPod using Apple’s proprietary iPod Accessory Protocol (iAP) over USB.
The Fostex HP-P1 (http://www.fostexinternational.com/docs/products/HP-P1.shtml)
And the Cypherlabs AlgoRhythm Solo (http://www.cypherlabs.com/Products.php)
Home systems are:
Wadia 171i iTransport (http://www.wadia.com/products/transports/171i/)
And the Onkyo ND-S1(http://www.intl.onkyo.com/products/accessories/ri-dock/nd-s1/index.html)
I am not sure that the Onkyo ND-S1 actually acceses the iAP, it may just mount the ipod's storage as a USB drive and play the music seperatly.
