DAC1/ADC1 Fuse Recall
February 6, 2006
Benchmark has issued a recall for incorrect value fuses included with
specific DAC1 and ADC1 products manufactured between September 23, 2005
and February 3, 2006. Though no incidences of personal or propery
damage have been reported to Benchmark at this time, use of an incorrect
value fuse is a potentially serious safety risk, including the risk of
fire.
The following products may be affected:
| Part # | Description | Serial #s |
| 500-14000-000 | DAC1 Black RM 110V | 41575 - 42475 |
| 500-14000-100 | DAC1 Silver 110V | 41575 - 42475 |
| 500-14000-200 | DAC1 Black 110V | 41575 - 42475 |
| 500-14200-000 | ADC1 110V | 00062 - 00124 |
| 500-14200-002 | ADC1 220V | 00062 - 00124 |
If you have any of the above products, immediately discontinue use
and examine the fuses, including the spare fuses shipped with the
product. The proper fuse for DAC1 110V and ADC1 110V/220V operation
should have "500mA" stamped on the metal end cap as illustrated below. Do not use any
other value fuse for this purpose. If you find a fuse of any other
value, permanently discontinue use of that fuse and
or your dealer for free replacement fuses.
