The backbone of the System 1000™ is the MF-300 card frame, a 3 RU Eurocard style frame that can hold 12 different modules with optional daughterboards. The MF-300 can be powered by any of the System 1000™ external power supplies, or by the PS-302 internal power supply.

The MF-300 connector family is a significant step up in interconnection ease. Simply terminate your house wiring with latching and polarized 3 pin connectors and plug them into the mating connectors on the backplane of the card frame. Pre-connectorized double ended connection cables are also available to interface with external build-out panels such as the BP-100/7 or BP-100/4 custom QCP panels. Pigtails are available to interface the card frame with "Christmas trees" or Seimens 66 blocks.

Each frame requires a power supply to satisfy the power requirements of the modules installed. Connectors are sold separately on all MF-300 frames.
