The MicroFrame™ started life as a
custom line amplifier project for ABC Television in NYC. They
needed modular line amp packages with 16 high-output (300 mA),
low distortion (0.0009% THD), modules in each. The 16 modules
had to fit into a 1RU frame along with redundant power regulators,
something no one else had done, or has done since. We've supplied
ABC with over 50 systems to date. They use them to interface
large router and intercom systems as well as for general purposes,
both in their main facilities in Manhattan and in their sports
trucks.
A state-of-the-art microphone preamplifier, phantom power, and an
optional mix amplifier have been added to the MicroFrame™ Series.
This system can now fill the need for numerous line, mic-pre, and mix
applications in a very space and cost-efficient package.
